North Queensland Holiday: Heading Home!

Alas, our trip had to end and so we made our way down to Townsville and caught a plane home. On the way, we stopped off at Cardwell for a coffee and decided this area is definitely worth a visit...next time.

North Queensland Holiday: Day out on the Coast

While staying at Flying Fish Point, we spent a day visiting the local attractions including, visiting the South Johnstone Croc Farm, enjoying coffee at Mission Beach (and spotting a cassowary eating by the road side!), a scenic drive along the Canecutters Way and brief visit to Paronella Park as well as a picnic lunch at beautiful Etty Bay.

Watch out Mr pademelon - there's a croc in the water and he looks hungry!

Paronella Park

An old European style theatre, restaurant, entertainment and gardens centre. You have to pay to go in, so we just took photos from the cool suspension bridge.
