Portsmouth

After Brighton we found ourselves having a quick two-day stopover in the lovely naval city of Portsmouth. Public transport is expensive in the UK so we ended up catching a double decker bus (sitting at the top of course!) from Brigton to Portsmouth...it only cost £7 in total, however it took 4 hours to get there! We visited every little hamlet on the coast between Brighton and Portsmouth!!! We saw some fantastic coastal scenery along the way, so that made up for the sore bums!

The weather was warm and sunny in Portsmouth so we enjoyed walking around the harbour area, seeing the large naval ships in Portsmouth from a (free) distance. There are also lots of lovely parks along the waterfront which we made much use of while the weather permitted!
